Winter, due to changing weather conditions, is a difficult time for drivers - we complain primarily about a significant drop in driving comfort. According to Kongsberg Automotive Pruszków's report "Driving Comfort II", drivers most dislike getting into a cold vehicle. Nearly 70 percent of those surveyed dream that their cars would get warm before they even start.
According to the report "Driving Comfort II", apart from the conditions on the road, the biggest problem for Polish drivers is frozen windows - over 80 percent of respondents indicated that they are the ones that most disturb the car. In winter, the comfort of the driver and passengers inside the car also decreases. Every third Pole complains about cold seats and 27% of drivers do not like to have to use an icy steering wheel.
When asked which solution would be the most useful during the winter, as much as 68% of the respondents answered that it would be possible to start the heating system before entering the vehicle, and 45% indicated that the heating system would switch on when the car started.
Solutions have emerged on the automotive market that significantly improve driver comfort, especially when the temperature falls below zero. Currently, the production of heating mats for most car seats is carried out using the most modern sewing technologies. Thanks to such innovations, the heating systems start practically when the engine is started and the driver feels the effect after just a few seconds - says Michał Jaśkiewicz, Kongsberg Automotive Pruszków.
According to data from the report, only 15% of Poles use both general heating and seat heating at the same time. More than 3/4 of the drivers only heat the car interior. Experts indicate that all available heating options should be used to achieve a faster effect and improve comfort.
We must be aware that we will feel the heat coming from the heating mats much faster than from the general heating system. That is why we should remember to use all the options available to us when heating a very cooled car - adds Michał Jaśkiewicz.
