"The art of loving. The story of Michalina Wisłocka" has just appeared in cinemas in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. After the first weekend of display, it was ranked 4th in box office among the latest premieres.
In Great Britain and Northern Ireland, "The Art of Loving" can be seen in the Odeon cinema network. The story of Michalina Wisłocka is displayed on over 70 screens. During the opening weekend (31.03 - 2.04) it was the fourth (out of 17) most popular premiere. And she was on the 11th place in the box office there. The audience praises above all the extraordinary role of Magdalena Boczarska.
In Poland, the film directed by Maria Sadowska with Magdalena Boczarska, Eryk Lubos and Piotr Adamczyk in the leading roles has so far been seen by 1,767,249 viewers. Thus, it remains on top of this year's box office in Poland.
"Art of Loving" is a film about an extraordinary story of Michalina Wisłocka, a woman who made the impossible by wide opening the doors of Polish bedrooms. Dealing with conservative stereotypes and omnipresent ignorance, Wisłocka revolutionized the sex life of the whole country. With the help of one book, "Sztuki kochania" ("The Art of Loving"), which was then distributed in a circulation of over 7 million copies.
The film features many outstanding Polish actors. In the main role - Magdalena Boczarska. The role of Stach Wisłocki, the doctor's husband, is played by Piotr Adamczyk, her great love, Jurka, played by Eryk Lubos, a friend, Wanda - Justyna Wasilewska. The film also features Danuta Stenka, Karolina Gruszka, Borys Szyc, Wojciech Mecwaldowski, Arkadiusz Jakubik and Artur Barciś.
